Liquid labour: global media industries and the costs of immaterial production

How has technology changed other aspects of the everyday life?

When we think about the workforce the mind instantly goes to an office setting, working long days in a job you don’t like and having a shit boss. But there is another office setting; online.

Thanks to technology the world has been  brought closer  together in ways never thought imaginable. It is breaking boundaries and allowing countries/people to communicate in new ways all in real time. For example Google Docs is a site that allows people to work together without out actually being together. This site is extremely useful in communities such as University where people from different areas can work together with ease and simplicity.

My remediation this week is playing off the idea of no longer needing to communicate face to face. Office settings don’t need to be in building, surrounded by people. They can be online but still operating in real time.
